Need a little help.  When playing Mame under DOS my joystick works
fine, even with a DOS front-end.  But from a Windows front-end? Forget
about it, no stick.  The stick works perfect with other DOS games
launched from Windows but not Mame.  Tried every Windows front-end and
no dice.  Just wondered if anyone knows why…

Does anybody know how the V-Stick works?

I assume it emulates the keyboard controller and sends the correct key
code the PC via serial transmission and uses something like 4066 quad
select between the keyboard and joysticks/buttons?

Thought about looking into emulating the keyboard with something like
a PIC uProcessor, to send certain codes to the PC. But then off course
it far easier to wire your switches etc in parallel on an old
keyboard, isn’t now.

What have others done to connect joysticks & buttons  via the keyboard
interface?

Any thoughts most welcome.

Why do i get good sound the first time i play a game  and the next time all
i get is static .   Ive got Mamew frontend and a sound blaster pro sound
card  ,        thanks   Simon   .

I’ve got a version of Solomon’s Key which runs fine on NESticle, but I’m
still keen to get the original arcade version.  

Anyone remember this great game or have a ROM?

Is anyone else having this problem? It’s really a drag! I can start
playing them without any sound and they work perfectly. Put on sound and
I can’t get them to play above 24 percent no matter how many different
frameskips I use. Can anyone help me?
