Hi,
I was wandering if there was a Amiga 500 emulator available for PC’s. I am
thinking about one that would work with the PC drive (1.44->820) and perhaps
other peripherials as well. Besides, i havent heard of even one. Maybe there
is one for C64 ??
Thanks in advance
Wojtek
Ps. By the way, sorry for a (FAQ) question if it is one, but hell i don’t know
where the FAQ for this list is anyway.

Sorry, no Amiga emulator (not counting practical jokes).

Check out C64emu, at your favorite FTP-site. REALLY good. Runs all the
games I’ve tried, at the correct speeds even (on a Pentium…)

Emulating the Amiga is even harder than emulating an Atari 8-bit because
we are talking time-critical NTSC video manipulations like HAM vs.
display list tricks. Doing that in an analogous digital VGA environment
and making it work right and time right is a TALL order.

I haven’t
I read in the Atari 800XL emulator’s manual that the emulated computer is
usually at least 10X faster than the emulated (to get the emulated machine up
to standard speed.) Besides, the Commy only has 64K of RAM
heard of an Amiga emulator myself either, although I have heard of an Atari ST
one (Gemulator, and I think I’ve heard of others…)
